FINAL ORDER
Before the Property Standards Board of the City of Garland, Texas (the "Board"), the below listed address(es) by Complaint were called for hearing on the 13th day of January, 2022. The Chairman of the Board having announced that there were at least five (5) members of the Board present at the time the hearing was commenced, all evidence having been submitted to the Board in accordance with the law and the Board having made such inquiry as seemed desirable and necessary to it and after the case having been publicly deliberated as required by law the following order was made and entered:

If the building is not repaired to a habitable condition and a final inspection is not conducted by the Code Compliance Department by August 19, 2022, civil penalties in the amount of $100.00 per day be assessed against the property beginning August 20, 2022, and continue until the building is repaired to a habitable condition and a final inspection is conducted by the Code Compliance Department. If the building is not repaired to a habitable condition and penalties have continued to accrue by September 19, 2022, the City is authorized to demolish the building.”

If the building is not repaired to a habitable condition and penalties have continued to accrue by June 14, 2022, the City is authorized to demolish the building.”

Pursuant to Sec. 32.29 (a) of the Code of Ordinances, any party aggrieved by a decision of the Board may appeal the decision to a district court within 30 days after the Board has rendered its decision in accordance with the provisions of Sec. 54.039 of the Texas Local Government Code.
