The City of Mesquite will receive separate sealed bid proposals for the following item at the office of Ryan Williams, Manager of Purchasing. Proposals will be received and publicly acknowledged at the location, date and time stated below. Only the name of the proposers responding to this request for proposal shall be read aloud.

The Specifications and Bid Proposal Forms may be obtained on and after Thursday, November 21, 2019 in the office of the Manager of Purchasing located in the Municipal Building, 1515 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, Texas mailing address: P.O. Box 850137, Mesquite, TX 75185-0137, or by telephone at 972-216-6201. Until the final award by the Mesquite City Council, said Council reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals, to waive technicalities, to re-advertise, to proceed otherwise when the best interest of said Council will be realized herein. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of at least forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.

ARD ROAD PUMP STATION UPGRADES CONTRACT 1
Notice is hereby given that the City of Seagoville is now calling for bids for construction of the ARD ROAD PUMP STATION UPGRADES CONTRACT 1. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked “SEALED BID – ARD ROAD PUMP STATION UPGRADES CONTRACT 1” and submitted to the City Secretary, City of Seagoville, 702 N. Highway 175, Seagoville, Texas 75159, prior to 10:00 AM, CDST, January 3rd, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The City of Seagoville reserves the right to reject any or all bids received.
This project includes the construction of approximately 100 feet of 18" Ductile Iron Water Main with Mechanical joints by open cut, 200 feet of 12" Ductile Iron Water Main with mechanical joints by open cut, connection to the existing main in 3 locations, connection to existing pump discharges in two locations and associated valving, fittings, and appurtenances. All Ductile Iron mains, fittings, valves to be polywrapped. Engineers opinion of probable construction cost $150,000.

Electronic documents in .pdf format can be obtained at no cost. The cost for hard copies of Contract Documents is $50.00 per half size set. The cost of Contract Documents is not refunded. Submit check, cashier check or money order for payment. Cash will not be accepted.
A non-mandatory meeting for the project will be held at the City of Seagoville, 702 N. Highway 175, Seagoville, Texas 75159 at 10:00 AM, CDST, December 19th, 2019. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to City of Seagoville in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents.
Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents.
Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required.
The City of Seagoville reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from date on which bids are opened.
