Copies may be obtained by the Bidders at the office of the CM at Risk as an electronic copy or upon deposit of $100.00 for each full printed set of plans and specifications. Contractors may obtain one (1) printed set upon refundable deposit. Drawings and specs will be available after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Any unsuccessful bidder upon returning such complete sets promptly and in good condition within 25 days after bid date to the CM at Risk’s Office will be refunded his deposit; and any non-bidder upon so returning such sets will be refunded his deposit less the cost of reproduction. The Architect and Construction Manager at Risk in no way shall be responsible for retrieval of plans from other locations.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2018, in Administration Training Room at the Mesquite ISD Administration Building, 3819 Towne Crossing Boulevard, Mesquite, Texas 75150. Attendance is encouraged by an administrative representative of the company or corporation submitting a bid as a Sub- contractor for the following work;
Electrical, Structural Concrete, Paint, Drywall and Acoustical, HVAC, HVAC Controls, Plumbing, Electrical, and Media Systems.
All Sub-Contractors for the above listed work shall prepare and submit to the Owner, one day prior to the time of the Receiving of Bids the Bidder Qualifications Section 00 43 36 showing evidence that the Sub-Contractor has successfully completed work on projects of similar size and scope, utilizing Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Media Systems equal to those specified.
Failure to be represented and to submit a completed Contractor Information Section 00 43 36 at the receipt of bids may eliminate a Sub-Contractor for the above trades from consideration for work on this project.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all proposals.

Sealed competitive bids or proposals as set forth and required in the plans and specifications (either of which shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Bid”) addressed to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Mesquite, Texas will be received at the office of Ryan Williams, Manager of Purchasing at the Municipal Center, 1515 N. Galloway Ave., Mesquite, Texas 75149 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, for the following: Annual Miscellaneous Concrete Work Project (Section A) – Bid 2018.
As set forth in the plans and specifications the project is designed to provide labor and materials for miscellaneous concrete repairs throughout the City of Mesquite. Work includes removal and replacement of a variety of concrete structures including sidewalk, pavement, handicap ramps, and curb and gutter.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in the upstairs library at the City of Mesquite Art Center located at 1527 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, Texas 75149 in the Rehearsal Hall
Instruction to Bidders: proposal forms, plans and specifications (the “Bid Documents”) may be obtained from the Purchasing Department Website and from BidSync.
The Bid shall be submitted on the form provided in the Bid Documents. Bidder must submit, with their Bid, a Cashier’s check, Certified check or a Bid Bond from an approved surety company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and guarantee forms, if required, within 10 days after notice of award of contract.
The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City.
